Importance of the Project
Despite having Muslims in Wagga Wagga for the last two decades, we still do not have a mosque. We have been using a small single room building space given to us by Charles Sturt University. This space is not enough for the growing Muslim population. For Friday prayers, we are renting different halls through the Wagga Wagga city council. Furthermore, Covid-19 has also made things difficult because we cannot rent the same space from the city council all the time. In this challenging time, we need your support to build our first mosque to offer congregational prayers. We had already purchased a piece of land in 2017, and now we are struggling to construct the structure. We need your support for the construction of the first mosque in Wagga Wagga. This is an opportunity for us to participate in sadaqah jariyah, which will benefit us in this life and hereafter and protect us from hellfire, Insha Allah.
